Jeremy Moynier – Lead Brewer
Jeremy Moynier is the Lead Brewer for Stone Brewing Co. Jeremy grew up in a family very passionate about beer and wine. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego in 1994 with a BA in Literature/Writing, Jeremy moved to the Central Coast of California where he worked in hospitality, vineyard, and production of wine at Meridian Vineyards. After five years, he joined a new start-up winery as Cellar Master at Chumeia Vineyards. Jeremy eventually came back to San Diego where he joined Stone in 2004. After working in filtration for a few months, Jeremy started brewing on Stone’s original 30-bbl brewhouse in San Marcos. A year and a ½ later, the brewery moved to its current location in Escondido where Jeremy continued to brew as a shift brewer, eventually becoming the Brewhouse Supervisor and then Lead Brewer.
Joel Grosser – Director of Brewing Operations
Joel Grosser is the Director of Brewing Operations for Stone Brewing Co. His background in the industry began as a passion for home brewing while he was in college at the University of Minnesota. After receiving a degree in Chemical Engineering, Joel turned his brewing passion into a profession. His first job began in a research pilot brewery assisting in raw material evaluation and new product development. Since then, he gained experience in many facets of beer production and management in both large and small breweries across the country.
Joel is passionate about finding ways to improve the overall efficiency of the brewing process, and to improve flavor consistency through the utilization of new technology and data interpretation. Joel began working at Stone Brewing Co. in January 2014.
